January 24, 2011 – Photo of the Week: “Sunlit Fortress”

My second last blog on Peru. The next blog will feature the completed album!

This image of Machu Picchu was taken on our second day up at the Incan Fortress. It was a heavily overcast day which was very much like the day before.

The sun came out momentarily to shine its light onto the world wonder, and it was simply gorgeous. I don’t know whether I prefer Machu Picchu in the fog or on a sunny day. Both are beautiful to me, but for different reasons!
